No, you do not need to be Hispanic to apply. Leadership Tejas welcomes individuals from all backgrounds. However, please note that the program is centered around Hispanic issues, cultural relevance, and leadership from a Hispanic perspective. Applicants should be open to engaging with and learning from these themes.

Participants are responsible for:
- Transportation to each city
- Lodging and most meals
- Personal expenses during you may occur
- Program Fee: $1,400
- Payment Plans: Tuition can be broken up into 4 equal payments
- Scholarships: Limited, awarded on a first-come, first-served basis
- Austin: May 23–24
- San Marcos: June 20–21
- Brownsville: July 18–19
- Corpus Christi: August 15–16
- Midland: September 19–20
- Del Rio: October 24–25
Note: Cities are subject to change based on logistics.
- Duration: May to October 2025
- In-Person Sessions: One weekend per month (Friday & Saturday)
- Virtual Sessions: One 60–90-minute session each month
- Locations: Rotates across six Texas cities
- Projects: Hands-on, community-based leadership projects

Leadership Tejas is a 6-month leadership development program by the Hispanic
Leadership and Management Foundation. It is designed for Hispanic business
owners, managers, community leaders, and volunteers who want to make a lasting
impact through leadership, advocacy, and innovation.
The Hispanic Leadership and Management Foundation serves as the 501(c)(3)
nonprofit arm of the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce
(TAMACC).
